Farming for Gold/Ectos/Shards: The best place? - Guild Wars Forums

I need a ton of shards, ectos or gold.
I am short of 50/50 and still need an Obsidian Armor.

so... where would you farm, with which build? What is the most efficient place in your opinion?

Solo and team builds are appreciated. I already checked PvXWiki already ofc but would like some more input.

I just took a discord team to FoW -- me and three heroes -- and cleared the whole Tower of Courage area, the beach, the spider cave, and the Temple of War. Run takes about 45 minutes. I used the cash from the run to buy ecto or more shards. It isn't fast, but it got me everything I needed eventually.

Remember, we're coming up on a big festival season: Halloween, Special Treats, and Wintersday. Farming collectables for Halloween and Wintersday can get you a lot of sweet/alcohol/party point items that you can sell for plenty of cash. In the long run, it might be more beneficial to concentrate on farming those collectables for the next couple of months.

Defiantly wait till Halloween like Brett said. Farm nubs in CB and get ToT bags. People will especially need them with the HoM rewards revealed.

If that doesn't float your boat, do FoWSC for shards. No idea about ecto. I rarely do the UW.

There are plenty of threads open asking this exact question (Maybe minus the reason). But laziness prevails when using the search function I guess. Plus I'm pretty sure this is in the wrong section, and you're not supposed to ask for builds. But when ignoring one rule, why not ignore the rest? /endtroll

Ok 1.I suggest farming FoW and the UW
2. don't ask for builds its like a bannable offense on here or something(you obviously didnt look at the meta section for farming on pvx

)
3.and team builds would be SC builds.(UWSC/FoWSC) Neither of which are very hard.
